About our training courses
These two-day training seminars are designed to give world’s best practice in disaster recovery ministry, with a solid
understanding of what the issues are in ministering to people in trauma, disaster in particular.
It is open to all clergy, commissioned pastoral carers and institutional chaplains.
Those attending, and fulfilling the requirements, have the option of joining the DRCN which allows them to
minister in evacuation and recovery centres and better connect to the needs of disaster-affected people locally
and elsewhere.
The training is free of charge (costs covered by the NSW Government) and includes the cost of lunch and morning
and afternoon tea. Registration is essential. Both days are to be attended from 9am to 4.30pm.

Training in the DRCN is available to ministry agents (ordained or equivalent or in institutional chaplaincy) from a number of faith groups.
